Job Description
Overview:

Education: College, CEGEP, or another non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years
Experience: 1 to 7 months
Responsibilities:
Tasks:
- Coordinate activities with other departments or work units
- Monitor the movement of supplies and materials across departments
- Read and interpret blueprints, production drawings, and specifications
- Ensure the proper functioning of computer equipment and machinery
- Arrange for maintenance and repairs when necessary
- Verify the accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other reports
- Compile worksheets and specifications for orders
- Consult with production supervisors to plan production runs efficiently in terms of cost and time
- Create, track, and complete work orders
- Estimate the materials and labor required for production
- Prepare and maintain progress and other reports
- Advise vehicle operators on traffic and other issues
- Dispatch personnel based on schedules and work orders
- Manage emergency dispatches as needed
- Knowledge of cross-border dispatching rules and practices
- Operate computer-aided communication and dispatching systems
- Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics within the organization
- Schedule tasks and coordinate the activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment
