Position: Landscaping Supervisor

Salary:

• $35.50 per hour
• 35 hours per week

Overview:

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Responsibilities:

• Hire, supervise, and schedule staff
• Plan and direct grounds maintenance
• Estimate labor and materials for landscaping projects
• Organize and direct construction of decks, decorative, or retaining walls
• Plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work
• Maintain work records and logs
• Tender and administer contracts
• Read blueprints and drawings
• Repair and maintain equipment
• Order materials, equipment, and supplies
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
• Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers
• Establish work schedules and procedures

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced environment
• Work under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking
• Steel-toed safety boots required

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to supervise 1 to 2 people
• Personal suitability: Attention to detail, strong problem-solving, and leadership skills
